Getting Started

1. What Do I Need?

  • Internet Merchant Facility from a bank
  • Appropriate Merchant Application signed and returned to eSec
  • Payment (Refer to Pricing plan)

2. How Do I Get It?

Bank Application

You need to obtain an Internet Merchant Facility from your bank. This will enable you to accept payments from Visa and MasterCard.
To process transactions from American Express, JCB, and Diners Club cards requires separate merchant agreements with those institutions. Please contact the relevant institution.

eSec Application

Once your Bank Application has been sent off and is being processed, the following forms need to be completed, signed, and returned to eSec.

The Merchant Application can be faxed to 03 9629 5550 to speed up your configuration. If mailing, the postal address is:

Payment Options

Your Yearly Fee as outlined in the appropriate contract must be paid upfront, before eSec can allow you to pass transactions through our system.

eSec have three payment options available for new customers:

  1. Credit Card Payment by Phone
    Phone SecurePay and speak to our freindly staff to make a payment from your credit card:

    Select Option 3 for Finance & Accounts
    8:30am - 5:30pm (AEST), Monday to Friday, excluding Melbourne public holidays.
  2. Direct Deposit
    Deposit funds directly into the following account quoting your company name as a reference:

  3. Cheque Payment
    Mail your cheque to the following address:

Please note that eSec cannot start work on the implementation of your Payment Gateway account until you have supplied us with ALL of the information and documentation above.

3. How Long Will It Take?

The Bank Application may take 2 to 3 weeks to be processed and returned to you.

Once you supply eSec with the Merchant Number from your bank, we can configure you for Live transaction processing through our system within 2 business days.

4. What Will I Receive?

You will have complete control over transactions processed via our system through an Internet Merchant Login Facility, giving you full access to everything you need to know.

Some of the services that will be available to you include:

  • 24 x 7 Technical Support (Option 2 pricing plan only) by phoning 1300 786 756 during office hours (8:00am to 5:30pm AEST), or 1902 212 279 (charged at $2.75/min, inc. GST) after hours, or visiting http://www.securepay.com.au/
  • Merchant Login Facility - allows you to view transactions online, to immediately confirm payments, and produce reports on your e-commerce volumes
  • Reversals and Refunds - allows you to view a transaction online and reverse it or refund it on the spot
  • Transaction Data File - emailed to you daily, and reconciles directly with your bank statement
  • Payments by Phone, Mobile Phone, or your PC - for customers who may have seen your products on the web, but don't want to pay there
